Quality by Design (QbD) enhances drug development by integrating scientific and risk management principles, ensuring quality from the outset. In stimulus-sensitive in situ delivery systems, which release drugs in response to specific triggers like pH or temperature, QbD focuses on identifying critical quality attributes (CQAs) and process parameters (CPPs). Using tools like risk assessment and design of experiments (DoE), QbD optimizes formulation and manufacturing, improving performance, reliability, and safety. The implementation of QbD in these systems leads to more efficient development, reduced production variability, and better regulatory compliance, resulting in innovative and effective drug delivery solutions.
